School Council
Participation is one of the four general principles of the
United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child.
Our School Council enables children's views to be heard.
Article 12 – Respect for the views of the child?
Every child has the right to express their views, feelings and wishes in all matters affecting them, and to have their views considered and taken seriously.
Article 13 – Freedom of expression
Every child must be free to express their thoughts and opinions and to access all kinds of information, as long as it is within the law..
Our School Councillors are elected by their classmates at the beginning of each year.
They meet regularly with Mrs Abbotts and are always listening to the views of their classmates, striving hard to improve both learning and well-being at Baguley Hall.
You can spot councillors around school wearing special red badges.
