Baguley Hall welcomed parents and carers of years 5 and 6 pupils for a Poetry Recital
Years 5/6 were delighted to welcome their parents to their Poetry Recital on Tuesday 11th October. Children invited their parents along by writing a letter, using the persuasive techniques that they had learnt in class. The children's persuasive letters certainly worked, as there was an amazing turn out of parents in the audience, waiting in anticipation to see what Years 5/6 has to offer. The children's poems were written, based on this half terms topic of rivers. Children had the choice to write poems that consisted of personification, alliteration, similes and metaphors or write a Kennings poem, which is a poem that describes an object in a two-word phrase. Although it was a nerve-wrecking experience, the children but in an amazing performance, one of which all parents and staff of Baguley Hall are very proud of!! Well done Years5/6!
