Key Stage 1

During the Spring term the topic in KS1 was Commotion in the Ocean!

To launch the topic `Commotion in the ocean` children have listened to the story `Commotion in the Ocean` by Giles Andreae and David Wojtowycz.

Using this text the children thought about the different creatures we can find under the sea.

In each class, the children imagined they had boarded a submarine so they could see more of the ocean, afterwards they created a porthole of their view.

Using different art and design techniques, each class created creatures that live under the sea.

In Geography the children began to look at the oceans of the world. The children learnt a song which helped them to label the missing oceans on a map.
