After their success with Arts Award Discover last year, Year 5 have been working towards their Arts Award Explore after their success with Arts Award Discover last year.

This year, the Year 5 children have used a variety of creative and artistic methods to explore the topic of 'The Victorians'. They furthered their understanding by studying paintings, artefacts, key figures and the historical context of the era, as well as through the use of creative writing, drama and drawing, and during visits to Salford Gallery, Manchester Art Gallery and Central Library - all of which was documented by each child in a journal.

Both classes created an assembly together to present this work to their peers.
