We are hosting a ShoeShare collection
In May 2017, RRSA and Clarks began a partnership to support education programmes for children around the world through an initiative called ShoeShare.
ShoeShare gathers old or unwanted shoes to raise money for Unicef to help all children, no matter where they are or what is happening around them, to access their right to education (Article 28 of the CRC).
To date, the partnership has raised an incredible £1 million, helping children around the world access education (click on the blue link to find out more from the UNICEF web-site.)
This campaign also links to our Eco-Council's work to encourage our school community to re-use and re-cycle our resources.
We will be collecting your unwanted shoes at school in the week beginning Monday 10th July. Please bring any pairs that you no longer need in to your child's class teacher. We will take them all to the Clarks store on Friday 14th July.
We received over 150 pairs of shoes to recycle, raising money for UNICEF as well.
Thank you all for your support!
