Girls' football tournament

Last week Miss Robinson and Mr McIlhone had the pleasure of taking the girls' football to St Paul's High School for a tournament against a number of other school from around Manchester. We were really proud of how the girls played and especially the sportsmanship they showed. Out of six games, the girls won two, drew two and lost two. Well done girls, you respresented the school well and we are very proud of you all!

Today in school, the children had some time to reflect on the amazing way that Manchester as a community has embraced the Peace Mala message of treating others as we wish to be treated and come together to remember the lives of those lost on this day last year. The children thought of words that represented their reflections and using the Peace Mala colours, decorated bees which have been put on Display on the main KS2 corridor for all to see and feel proud of. We are proud of Manchester and the love that is shown to all who live there, regardless of their race, religion, gender or sexuality. One love Manchester! <3

Thank you so much for helping our school fund raise for UNICEF. We raised nearly £180.

Hopefully, you spotted our own stars, David and Emily, walking on to the Old Trafford pitch with the other top celebrities. Despite the rain, they had a fantastic time and we were all very proud of them.

Watch out for more exciting events in our rights respecting school next year.

Please ask your child about children's rights and why they are important - in school, at home and everywhere around the world.
